In March, 2026, OAC evangelists and their families descended on the holiday island of Mallorca.
The European Zone of OAC is our oldest, having started meetings in the 1980s, when the number of branches grew from three (GB, NL, D) to over ten. But this was just the second family conference, the first one taking place also in Mallorca in 2018. It combined our usual annual directors’ meetings with an excursion, fun times and workshops and a training seminar for locals along with two outreaches in central Palma.
We booked into a 4 star hotel in Magaluf, a resort better known for a rowdy party scene in the summer months, but now rather quiet except for the hundreds of Spanish pensioners who were also staying in our hotel. In previous years we might have fitted in well, but it was a delight to have a good number of young families with us (ten children ten and under) this time. The generational changeover is taking place!
Sadly our President, David Proaño, was unable to be with us with his wife as they had hoped, due to rejection of their visa application. However, he was able to speak with us via recorded messages, bringing both a message of encouragement from the Scriptures and also an international report.
We also enjoyed excellent Bible teaching and encouragement, as well as helpful workshops and seminars from those attending.
